The Model 698 utilizes thermoelectric heating/cooling in order to eliminate the noise and maintenance issues associated with refrigerant based units. A fan moves the air inside the bath to ensure temperature uniformity throughout the bath. An external LCD display indicates the internal temperature of the bath.
Model 698 offers a temperature range of 15°C to 30°C and is adjustable in increments of 0.5°C. Access to the interior of the bath is through a front mounted door. The Model 698 Air Bath features adjustable shelves for the placement and organization of the standard resistors. Alternatively, the shelves may be removed in order to accommodate larger standards. An access panel on the rear of the unit allows connection wires to pass through easily without exposing the interior to the environment.
